I don't know much about baseball so I will compare this glove with what I do know. I had recently broke in a new Easton Natural Elite Series NE1176 Baseball Glove 11.75" glove along with this Mizuno glove. The Mizuno's leather comes already well broken in and soft but I did prefer the ability to shape the Easton more to my hand. The Mizuno comes the way it is. I used the Mizuno glove wrap and mallet to break both in along with Rawlings Glovolium. Played catch withe em and then did the process all over again with the addition of pounding the pocket out with a 12oz weighted ball. The Mizuno used much less oil and the leather did not smell like a pair of old boots like the Easton. The Mizuno is much looser on my hand than the Easton and Louisville Omaha pro 11.75". The Mizuno seems to be a true 11.75" while the Easton seems more like a 11.5".
