This review is from: Hot Glove Treatment (Misc.)
My son has played baseball for about 15 years and has played 6 positions.
That turns out to be a fair number of gloves and a lot of break-in time. Most of his playing time has been as a catcher or playing firstbase. He has a great Rawlings all leather catcher's mitt that has been really tough to break-in. Last weekend we decided to give Hot Glove a try. Four minutes in the oven at 300 degress didn't seem as if it could do any damage and we were both tired of working on that mitt. Results! I was genuinely impressed. We went through the process twice. Each time there was a significant improvement. I've tried Lexol, Beeswax + lanolin, saddle soap, shaving cream etc. Hot Glove did a better job of softening the glove, making it ready to use and it did it in a fraction of the time. I still like beeswax+lanolin for perserving but for break-in it's Hot Glove. The directions are easy to follow but please follow them.
