The quality of the leather in the palm and finger backing of this glove is relatively good. Unfortunately, the wrist strap is of thin, poor-quality leather, and the binding material used along the seams of the glove is a man-made material. The glove is listed as all-leather, and the use of man-made materials (other than for decorative elements and threading) is completely unacceptable. Having owned dozens of gloves, I can attest to the rapid deterioration of the man made bindings. This is not a glove you will have for years. The lacing in the pocket region is poorly designed and difficult to tighten, so adjusting the pocket as the glove ages will be a chore. Finally, the palm guard is thin and poorly positioned within the glove - the tips of the first and second finger are not adequately protected. Instead, the palm guard bunches up near the wrist, making secure closing of the glove difficult.
