Ok, this in one product that you have to have for breaking in gloves with a mallet. The entire thing in made of leather and laced with glove lacing around the side. Mizuno even went as far as to put a glove binding around the edges as well. It's just like a brand new glove and smells great; that classic leather smell. Anyway, the entire inside of the item seems to be made of leather as well; I'm pretty sure there is no foam padding in there because of the rigidity of the pad. I've been breaking in gloves for some time this way and this has really helped when working on glove in a pinch. I have worked on gloves in the dugout, in the car while traveling, at work for a co-workers son/daughter, even sitting at home watching tv. This thing is that portable and really takes the shock from the mallet blows. Also, the leather pad protects the glove from becoming too flat; when hitting the glove while it's on the floor, the glove tends to flatten out.
