My son is in his second year using this 1st base man's mitt and absolutely loves it! He is 12 and small for his age so we giggle watching him play since the glove appears so big. However, he has no trouble controlling it. He's a successful 1st baseman because of his ability to stretch out and keep his foot on the bag. I think this glove has given him a few extra inches in his reach. He literally "snags" balls all game. It was a great gift for our baseball enthusiast.
