This Gold Glove Gamer 1st Base model features the Single Post double bar web, which gives it a stretchable web and forms a snug secure pocket which allows the ball to stick and not bounce. I have been buy first baseman gloves for over twenty years now and have stuck with Rawlings for the majority of that time. This is the best glove for the price that I've bought in a long time. It's no Heart of the Hide, but I play casually now and could see myself using this in a competitive softball league or senior baseball league. The factory break-in is better than many gloves I have seen and the glove plays well straight out of the shipping box.

Very awesome glove. I had a game the same night as i received the glove in the mail. I played catch with my son for about one hour with the new glove. I was debating on using the glove that night but used it anyway. This glove is unreal never droped any balls thown my way all night and made a nice stab when the batter ripped one down the line. Thought it would be a little small for softball at 12.5 but it feels bigger and the pocket is deep. Good purchase for the price. real good! This is my second glove of this model the first glove is a 11.75 infielders glove and its just as awesome. Highly recommended to anybody!

This glove is a professional quality glove. Breaks in within a few days of use, I used hot glove treatment to speed up the process as well as Nokona glove conditioner. Deep pocket with excellent support, I tried the Renegade and Player Prefferred models out at Sports authority before ultimately choosing this model. the quality leather, padded palm, and professional style make the adiitonal cost well worth it. I have only owned rawlings brand gloves, and this is the best one I have ever owned.
